Ancient Protection: The Power of Egyptian Eye of Horus Jewelry
Jewelry featuring the Eye of Ra or the Eye of Horus are symbols associated with protection, power, and good health.
The Eye of Ra is a symbol associated with the sun god Ra. This symbol represents the sun's destructive power, as well as its life-giving and protective qualities. The Eye of Horus is a symbol of protection, healing, and restoration. It is believed to bring good health and ward off evil. Also known as the Wedjat or Udjat, the Eye of Horus is associated with the god Horus, who was often depicted as a falcon. The "Horus Eye" emerges from Horus's conflict with his jealous uncle, where he lost his left eye. Upon triumphing, he sailed across the sea to raise his father Osiris and to offer his eye, symbolizing all sacrifice.
Like all of our Egyptian jewelry, our Eye of Horus collection is inspired by our many travels to Egypt. Steve Collins, the owner of Museum Reproductions, travels the globe to gather the best of the world's designs. His great love is Egypt and it shows in our line.
